Our Story
Chapter 1 — The Roots
For generations, my family lived in a village where cows and buffaloes were part of every household. Animals were treated like family — fed with love, cared for with devotion, and respected as living beings. Calves always drank the majority of the milk, and even the bulls who worked in the fields were nourished with ghee, milk, and lassi. Every cow had a name, an identity, and a place in our home.
Chapter 2 — The Pause
When our family moved to the city, this tradition naturally faded. The pace of urban life slowly replaced our old ways. For years, we lived without animals — until COVID arrived. In those still, reflective months, we brought home two Gir cows from Gujarat: Parvati and Shyama. Caring for them rekindled something deep within us — a forgotten connection to our roots, our culture, and our ancestral values.
Chapter 3 — The Revival
Slowly, our family grew again — not in people, but in cows. More Gir cows joined us, followed by two Tharparkar cows, Saraswati and Vaishnavi. We honored our old tradition: calves first, always; no force, no exploitation; everything done with respect. What started as two cows became a herd of 50+, each known by name, each loved, each treated like family.
Chapter 4 — The Realisation
As our herd grew, so did the ghee we prepared using the ancient bilona method. And in that journey, we discovered an important truth: When purity and seva come together, the final product can never be cheap. This is why our ghee remains limited-batch, free from industrial shortcuts, discounts, or cruelty. Our purpose is simple — to revive a culture where cows are cherished as family and where purity is valued above profit.
